Tara is a licensed speech language pathologist with experience in evidence based treatment and assessments of autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and neurodevelopmental disorders. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Santa Clara University and Masters of Speech Language Pathology from Northwestern University. She has worked in the hospital, school and private practice settings. She has experience as a clinical supervisor and has advanced training in the Hanen It Takes to Two Talk Program. Prior to joining The UCSF Center for ASD & NDDs, she worked at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford and the Children’s Health Council. She was selected as a Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) Fellow at Boston Children’s Hospital while working in the Early Intervention Department. Her clinical interests include investigating best practices in parent education, community health and siblings with neurodevelopmental disabilities.
