Autism Diagnostic Assessment in 2024: Special considerations for working with increasingly complex referral populations (Dec. 5th - 6th, 2024) (ONLINE)

Registration closed.

Overview:

With the increasing diversity and complexity of autism referral populations, clinicians and researchers often face the challenging task of assessing for autism in populations where empirical data and professional guidance on best practices are scarce. To keep up with the pace of the ever-changing referrals, research has turned to better understanding symptom presentations in special populations, including individuals with medical, genetic, and psychiatric comorbidities. It is also important to examine the extent to which commonly used assessment tools apply in diverse populations (e.g., gender diverse, culturally and linguistically diverse, older adults), and identify how to adapt assessment processes to meet the varied needs of contemporary referrals (e.g., telehealth assessments).

This conference will showcase a panel of leading clinicians and researchers, as well as stakeholders, to inspire reflections and discussion to guide improved clinical practice and innovation in research.

This conference will be held online and no part of it will be recorded or available afterwards.

Attendees should be able to attend both days - we do not offer one-day registration.
