Parent Education and Support

We provide parent support and navigation services to help you locate and connect with resources in the community. We also offer individual and group services to help you navigate the system, provide support, and connect you with additional services. One group that we offer is:
  • First Steps: A ten-week program that provides information, support, and training for parents of children under six who have recently been diagnosed with ASD. Parents participate in expert-led discussion on the most critical topics for families of newly diagnosed children. They learn about characteristics, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), accessing services in the community, and how to begin improving communication and reducing problem behaviors.
Autism Spectrum Disorder and related diagnoses pose a broad array of challenges for the individual with the diagnosis and their family. Our goal is to help you on this journey. We want you to know you are not alone.

Psychoeducation Workshops

We offer parent psychoeducational workshops (currently via Zoom during the pandemic) that cover a variety of topic related to ASD and co-occurring diagnoses. Previous workshop topics included:

  • Parent Psychoeducation Workshop for ASD & Co-Occurring ADHD
  • Treatment Workshop: Medication, Supplements and Nutraceuticals for Individuals with ASD and other Developmental Disorders

Please reach out to [email protected] if you to be added to our outreach list to be notified of future workshops.
